ANNOUNCEMENTS

REVISED GROUND RULES

Event Turn Out: If a contestant needs to turn out of an EVENT at the rodeo, they must notify the judge before the event or section starts.  This needs to be noted on the judges sheets.  All entry fees (including jackpot) will be collected if a contestant turns out of an event and no fine will be implemented.

Old rule stated that an event turn out used to be 2 hours before the rodeo started...now they can do an event turn out before their section or event starts by notifying the judge and the judge puts it on his judges sheet.

Missed Event Turn Outs:   If a contestant misses an event before checking in and paying entry fees, he/she can compete in all other events entered but cannot compete in the event he/she missed.  Contestant/member must pay entry fees in all events, even the one missed.

o  Example #1 -   You are late to the rodeo(vehicle breaks down) and you miss an event. You check-in, pay all fees for allevents; you can compete in the rest of your events.

If a contestant checks in, pays all required fees, and then misses an event, they will be disqualified from that event and may be disqualified from all events for that rodeo. The contestant must explain why they missed their event to two State Directors and the Arena Director before their next event begins. These officials will then decide whether the contestant is disqualified from the rodeo.

o  Example #2 – You check-in, pay your fees, you are at your trailer and miss your event.

Old rule stated that if a contestant missed an event after checking in and paying their fees that they would be disqualified for that rodeo in all of their events. Now the contestant must speak with 2 state directors and the arena director and let them know why they missed their event. The directors and arena director will then decide if they will be disqualified for the day. The contestant must do this before the start of their next event.
